Data sources and verification

Inspect the official sources behind the model reference, along with collection state and verification dates. Use this inventory when a decision depends on freshness or a disputed value.

Source inventory

Each source record should identify its provider, type, schedule and latest successful check. A failed attempt is not a successful verification and must not advance the evidence date.

How values are normalized

Token rates are stored in a consistent comparison unit, while image, time, request and character units remain explicitly identified. Qualifying tiers and other conditions must remain attached to their rows. A normalized amount without its applicable unit or conditions is not sufficient evidence for a workload estimate.

Official evidence and cross-checks

Public model endpoints can help discover candidates and detect discrepancies. A cross-check does not override a provider’s own source for that provider’s pricing or terms. Unknown fields remain unknown, and an unpriced or insufficiently described model does not gain a complete public page simply to increase the catalog count.

Review thresholds and parser failures

Large price changes and significant limit changes are held for review. The previous accepted value stays live until the change is resolved. Repeated parser failure requires investigation and an alert; a broken parser should not publish an empty replacement table as if the provider removed every model.

Freshness and corrections

A freshness banner indicates that source-dependent information needs attention. Inspect the official source before making a decision that depends on a stale value, and send precise discrepancies through Contact. Published changes appear in the changelog.
